Mickey Mouse

Mickey Mouse first stepped onto the screen in Steamboat Willie in 1928 and became the face of the Walt Disney Company. The film's sound and his cheerful, can-do personality made him an instant star, and nearly a century later he is still the first character many guests look for at Magic Kingdom.

This coin shows Mickey in full color in his signature pose on a gold-toned medallion. The back, shared by the whole set, shows Cinderella Castle surrounded by stars with the Walt Disney World wordmark. Since it comes from the machine at the Main Street Railroad Station, it makes a simple souvenir from the very start of a Magic Kingdom day.
