Beauty and the Beast

Beauty and the Beast tells the story of Belle, a book-loving young woman who takes her father's place as a prisoner in the Beast's enchanted castle. The Beast and his household servants, turned into objects such as the teapot Mrs. Potts and her son Chip, are under a spell that only true love can break before the last petal falls from an enchanted rose.

This gold-toned coin shows a colorful Beauty and the Beast graphic featuring Belle and the Beast; published reports don't describe the scene in detail. The reverse is one of the nicer backs in the Port of Entry set, with the film's title and silhouettes of Mrs. Potts and Chip.
