Safari Donald

Donald Duck first appeared in The Wise Little Hen in 1934 and has been Mickey's hot-tempered best friend ever since. In this safari set he takes on the role of wildlife photographer.

The coin shows Donald on safari at sunset, camera in hand, photographing meerkats. It's a fun link to The Lion King, since Timon is a meerkat, and Donald's expedition gear is a big change from his usual sailor suit. The reverse shows the Tree of Life with the Disney's Animal Kingdom wordmark.
