Mickey Mouse has been Disney's star since Steamboat Willie in 1928, and at Disney's Animal Kingdom he often appears in khaki safari gear, ready to explore. This set dresses the classic gang for an expedition through the park's African-inspired landscapes.

Here Mickey is out on the savanna in his safari outfit with a camera in hand, ready to capture the wildlife. It is the set's headline solo coin. Like the rest of this gold-tone set, the coin's reverse shows the Tree of Life with the Disney's Animal Kingdom wordmark.

Donald Duck first appeared in The Wise Little Hen in 1934 and has been Mickey's hot-tempered best friend ever since. In this safari set he takes on the role of wildlife photographer.

The coin shows Donald on safari at sunset, camera in hand, photographing meerkats. It's a fun link to The Lion King, since Timon is a meerkat, and Donald's expedition gear is a big change from his usual sailor suit. The reverse shows the Tree of Life with the Disney's Animal Kingdom wordmark.

Goofy, who has been part of Mickey's crew since the early 1930s, is famous for his good nature and his knack for getting a little lost. A map is a sensible accessory for him on any expedition.

On this coin Goofy is in his safari gear, holding a map as he makes his way through the jungle. The reverse matches the rest of the set, with the Tree of Life and the Disney's Animal Kingdom wordmark on a gold-tone finish.

Open-air safari trucks are a signature sight at Disney's Animal Kingdom, where Kilimanjaro Safaris takes guests across the savanna of the Harambe Wildlife Reserve. This coin puts the whole gang in a ride of their own.

Mickey and Donald sit in the center of a safari vehicle, with Goofy and Pluto along for the trip, inside a gold border with a repeating geometric pattern. The reverse has the Tree of Life and the Disney's Animal Kingdom wordmark. It is the group coin of the set, a nice anchor alongside the three solo designs.
