Simba, Timon & Pumbaa

Timon the meerkat and Pumbaa the warthog find young Simba collapsed in the desert after he flees the Pride Lands, and they raise him in the jungle on their motto, Hakuna Matata: no worries. The trio's carefree friendship, and their song about it, is one of the best-loved parts of the film.

On this gold coin young Simba rests in front, with Timon perched on his head and a grinning Pumbaa behind them, against a red and orange sunset over the savanna with golden acacia trees. The border has the same repeating triangle pattern as the Pride Rock coin. The gold back has the Disney Conservation Fund logo ringed by animal silhouettes.
