Peter Quill, who calls himself Star-Lord, was taken from Earth as a boy and raised by space pirates called the Ravagers. In Guardians of the Galaxy he becomes the reluctant leader of a ragtag team of outlaws, carrying his mother's mixtape of 1970s hits wherever he goes. That love of classic songs drives the soundtrack of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind.
Star-Lord's coin in the Treasures of Xandar set has a gold finish; reports don't describe the front artwork in detail. The reverse carries an embossed Guardians of the Galaxy wordmark, shared by all four coins.
