Tower Hotel Gifts

The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror invites guests into the abandoned Hollywood Tower Hotel, where, the story goes, lightning struck one stormy night in 1939 and a group of guests vanished from an elevator. Riders board a service elevator and enter the world of Rod Serling's The Twilight Zone before a series of sudden drops.

This gold coin shows Donald, Mickey and Goofy above the attraction's wordmark, while frightened, stylized versions of the three tumble down against a dark, starry sky. The reverse, shared across the set, shows the hotel surrounded by lightning with the wordmark below.

Tower of Terror borrows its mood from The Twilight Zone, the anthology series created by Rod Serling that ran from 1959 to 1964. In the ride's story, guests step into a 'fifth dimension' after a lightning strike sends an elevator full of hotel guests out of this world.

This gold coin sends Mickey and his friends on that same trip, tumbling through a purple spiral alongside luggage, a room key and other Hollywood Tower Hotel items, with green and purple lettering. The reverse shows the lightning-struck hotel above the attraction wordmark.

At the Hollywood Tower Hotel, the bellhops and staff dressed in faded uniforms are part of the show, greeting guests in the dusty lobby and library before sending them to the service elevators. Goofy has been one of Mickey's closest friends since the 1930s and is a natural for a well-meaning but slightly hapless bellhop.

This gold coin shows Goofy in a hotel bellhop uniform, balancing luggage and a room-service tray over a black-and-white spiral surrounded by hotel-themed symbols. The reverse shows the hotel surrounded by lightning with the attraction wordmark below.

The elevator is the star of Tower of Terror: guests ride a hotel service lift that carries them up the tower, through the Twilight Zone and into a series of sudden plunges. The attraction has kept guests screaming at Disney's Hollywood Studios since 1994.

On this coin, Mickey stands inside a hotel elevator, with 'Drop In If You Dare!' engraved around him and a black-and-white spiral showing through the open doors. It is the only silver coin in the set, in a darker silver finish. The reverse shows the lightning-struck Hollywood Tower Hotel with the attraction wordmark below.
