Haunted Mansion

Haunted Mansion

From The Haunted Mansion (attraction, 1969)

The Haunted Mansion opened at Disneyland in 1969 and came to Magic Kingdom with the park in 1971. In Florida it is a Hudson River Valley-style manor in Liberty Square. Guests ride 'Doom Buggies' through a stretching portrait gallery, a ballroom of dancing ghosts and Madame Leota's séance room before 999 happy haunts send them off with a hitchhiking ghost. Its mix of spooky and silly has made it one of Disney's most collected themes.

In this Emporium set the coin represents the attraction itself, and its back is themed to the Haunted Mansion as well. Published reports don't yet describe the front artwork, so check the machine's screen or collector photos for the exact design.

Aurora

Aurora

From Sleeping Beauty (1959)

Aurora is the princess of Sleeping Beauty, Disney's 1959 adaptation of the classic fairy tale. The evil fairy Maleficent curses her at birth, so three good fairies, Flora, Fauna and Merryweather, raise her in a woodland cottage as Briar Rose. There she meets Prince Phillip, sings 'Once Upon a Dream,' and is finally woken from the curse by true love's kiss. The film is known for its detailed, storybook-like backgrounds and its Tchaikovsky-based score.

This coin brings Aurora to the Emporium set, and its back is themed to her character rather than a shared park design. The front artwork hasn't been described in detail in published reports.

Winnie the Pooh

Winnie the Pooh

From The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh (1977)

Winnie the Pooh, A. A. Milne's 'bear of very little brain,' joined Disney in a series of short films beginning in 1966. The shorts were later combined into The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh in 1977. Pooh lives in the Hundred Acre Wood with Christopher Robin, Piglet, Tigger, Eeyore and friends, and spends most of his time hunting for honey. He also has his own Fantasyland attraction at Magic Kingdom.

On this Emporium coin, both sides are about Pooh: he is the featured character on the front, and the back is themed to him as well. Published reports don't describe the pose or scene, so check collector photos for the exact artwork.

Mike & Sulley

Mike Wazowski, James P. Sullivan

From Monsters, Inc. (2001)

Mike Wazowski and James P. 'Sulley' Sullivan are the best friends and top scare team at Monsters, Inc., the Pixar film set in a city powered by children's screams. Sulley is the big, blue-furred champion scarer, and Mike is the one-eyed, wisecracking partner who keeps him on track. Their world turns upside down when a little girl they call Boo wanders into Monstropolis, and the pair discover that laughter is a far better power source. Their story continued in Monsters University (2013).

This coin brings the duo to the Emporium set. Both sides carry a Monsters, Inc. theme, though published reports don't describe the exact artwork.
