Store Command

Buzz Lightyear is the toy space ranger from Toy Story (1995). He arrives in Andy's room convinced he is the real thing, and he ends up as Woody's best friend. In Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, which opened in Tomorrowland in 1998, guests ride into a video game and help Buzz stop Emperor Zurg by firing at targets.

This coin shows Buzz in his classic heroic stance, hands on hips. It is one of two Buzz designs in the set. The back is engraved with the attraction's name and surrounded by cog-like detailing, and it's the same on all four coins. The medallion has the silver tone shared by most of the set.

In Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, riders become space rangers. They steer spinning cars through Zurg's world and aim laser cannons at glowing 'Z' targets to rack up points, and comparing scores at the exit is part of the fun. Buzz, the Toy Story hero who leads the mission, briefs guests in the queue.

This second Buzz coin captures the action: he kneels and fires his laser blaster, much like riders do on the attraction. The back carries the shared engraving of 'Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin' with gear-like details. It pairs well with the hands-on-hips Buzz from the same Store Command machine.

Emperor Zurg is Buzz Lightyear's archenemy. He is first mentioned in Toy Story and finally appears in Toy Story 2 (1999), where he delivers a famous twist on a well-known movie line. In Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, he is stealing batteries from toys to power his weapon, and riders shoot at his 'Z' targets to stop him.

On this coin Zurg stands in the center against a background that looks like the attraction's targets. It's the odd one out in the set, with a noticeably darker finish than the silver-toned Buzz and alien coins. The back has the shared engraving of the attraction's name with cog-like details.

The Little Green Men are the three-eyed squeaky alien toys who live inside the claw machine at Pizza Planet in Toy Story. They worship 'the Claw' as their master and greet every rescue with a reverent 'Ooooh.' After Mr. Potato Head saves them, they become devoted friends of the toys. In Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin they appear as the allies Buzz is trying to protect from Zurg.

This coin recreates their favorite moment: one alien is caught in the claw while two others reach up toward him, all inside a blue and purple ring. The back has the shared 'Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin' engraving with gear-like detailing.
