Princess Jasmine

Jasmine

From Aladdin (1992)

Jasmine is the spirited princess of Agrabah in Aladdin. She chafes at palace life and a law requiring her to marry a prince, so she slips out into the marketplace in disguise. There she meets Aladdin, a street-smart young man, and she ends up standing up to the scheming vizier Jafar. Jasmine became one of the core Disney Princesses and was the franchise's first Middle Eastern heroine.

This coin is the Disney Princess entry in the Adventureland set. Jasmine appears on her own on the front, and the back carries the Disney Princess logo instead of an Adventureland design. Collectors building a full princess run may want it alongside the Sir Mickey's set in Fantasyland, which uses the same logo on its backs.

Aladdin & Jasmine

Aladdin, Jasmine

From Aladdin (1992)

Aladdin is a poor but quick-witted young man from Agrabah's streets who finds a magic lamp and the Genie inside it. With the Genie's help he poses as Prince Ali to win over Princess Jasmine, and he finally learns that being himself matters more than any wish. The film's best-known moment comes when the two fly over the world on the magic carpet as they sing 'A Whole New World.'

The front of this coin shows Aladdin and Jasmine together, and the back carries the Aladdin film logo. Some collector checklists say the pair are riding the magic carpet, but published reports describe the scene only as the two of them together, so the exact pose is unconfirmed.

Jungle Cruise

Jungle Cruise

From Jungle Cruise (attraction, 1955)

The Jungle Cruise opened with Disneyland in 1955 and has been part of Magic Kingdom's Adventureland since the park opened in 1971. Guests board a canopied river launch and float past rivers standing in for Asia, Africa and South America, with elephants, hippos and other animatronic wildlife along the way. A skipper narrates the trip with a famously steady stream of puns, and over time the ride's corny humor has become as well loved as its scenery. It also inspired the 2021 film starring Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt.

This coin is the attraction piece of the Adventureland set. A Jungle Cruise boat appears on one side, and the ride's logo is on the other.

Adventureland Pirates

Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy

From Pirates of the Caribbean (attraction, 1967)

Pirates of the Caribbean first set sail at Disneyland in 1967, and Magic Kingdom's version has carried guests past cannon fire, a burning town and singing buccaneers since 1973. It was the last attraction Walt Disney personally helped develop, and it later inspired the hit film series.

Here Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy and Goofy all appear in pirate costume next to the Pirates of the Caribbean logo, the only coin in the set with five characters. The back is a little different too: it shows the Adventureland logo with the Orange Bird, the citrus mascot that has been part of Adventureland since the early 1970s.
